When All the Money in the World Becomes Meaningless

When all the Money in the World Becomes Meaningless
As we are sidetracked by our ambitions for financial success, we tend to take the most important things in life for granted. We are consumed with our day to day life and never really think that something bad will happen to us or the ones we love. This has become the unfortunate reality for Anders Holch Povlsen, the Asos billionaire who lost three of his four children in the Sri Lanka attacks. An immensely terrible experience!
Suicide bombers in Sri Lanka killed around two hundred and ninety people and injured more than five hundred. It is stated that seven suicide bombers spearheaded this brutal attack. This was the worst attack which ever took place in Sri Lanka and time will tell how this event will influence the country in the years to come.

Anders Holch Povlsen is the richest man in Denmark with a net worth of almost eight billion dollars according to Forbes. It is rumoured that he is the largest landowner in Scotland after the acquisition of a number of historic estates. Anders and his wife Anne are preserving around two hundred thousand acres of the highlands to keep them preserved for future generations.
Following this traumatic course of events, a request for the family’s privacy was made by Anders Holch Povlsen’s communications manager, following the confirmation that three of his children had been killed.

Anders Holch Povlsen is mainly renowned for being the biggest shareholder in Asos. He has a share of approximately thirty per cent and is worth in the region of eight hundred and sixty-six million pounds. The stock market value of Asos has decreased by around fifty per cent, however, Anders Holch Povlsen has made a significant return on investment with his holding being about double the original amount paid.
Apart from his significant share at Asos, he comes from a wealthy family which founded top clothing brands such as Vero Moda and Jack & Jones. He was put in charge of these businesses when he was twenty-eight.
In addition to these business ventures, he has also invested significantly in land and property. His family owns a number of estates in different locations. Anders Holch Povlsen also owns a commercial property called Berkertex House which is located in Oxford Street, London. This was bought back in 2014 for a price of a hundred and five million pounds. It is also thought that he is working on building the tallest skyscraper in western Europe in the town of Brande. This is expected to be in the region of around a thousand and fifty feet.
It is a terrible state of affairs that anyone should bury his own children. Our sympathies to Anders Holch Povlsen.
